Nickelodeon is home to some of today’s most exciting shows for kids and adults to enjoy. “Paradise Run” is one of Nickelodeon’s new original game shows that is gaining traction as an all around hit series.

The show is hosted by Nick star Daniella Monet. She captured the attention of Nick fans playing the role of Trina Vega on the hit series “Victorious.” On “Paradise Run,” Monet plays herself as a reality game show host on the island of Hawaii. She guides groups of kids through a series of exciting games that make up each episode’s series of fun competitions. Now in its second season, “Paradise Run” is proving itself to be a ratings and social media hit.

The outdoor setting on the beautiful, sunny island of Hawaii adds to the shows physical wow factor. Monet presents three challenges to three teams of contestants who compete on water slides, slip and slide, canoe races, swimming pool games and other engaging team driven games. Nick stars that appear on the show include Ryan Newman, Jack Griffo, and Addison Riecke. The show is non-stop action and fun as well as engaging to watch.

In a recent interview with Daniella Monet, she had this to share with viewers and fans about the show.

Sunset Scoop:  Tell us what you love most about “Paradise Run.”

Daniella Monet: I love that it’s a show that shoots outside in one of the more beautiful places I’ve gotten to “work”, but also love that it’s challenging. The kids have to think on their feet, have excellent stamina and problem solve. It’s like nothing I’ve ever seen, and definitely a show I’d want to be on!

Sunset Scoop:  Tell us how you feel going into the second season this month.

Daniella Monet:I think it’s great. Most of us who watch will probably be in fairly cold weather. So watching “Paradise Run” might be kind of refreshing! Plus, I think the show is motivating which everyone loves to feel, especially in the beginning of a new year!

Sunset Scoop: Is this your first time taping a show in Hawaii?  Tell us about your experience of working on the island of Hawaii.

Daniella Monet: I had the chance to film part of Fairly Odd summer on the North Shore in Oahu, which was AMAZING. Any chance to work in Hawaii is pretty special. I love the all around energy of Hawaii. There’s so much to do outside and the backdrop isn’t too bad either.

Sunset Scoop:What do you look for in the kids who participate in the competitions on the show?

Daniella Monet: I don’t get to cast the contestants, but while I watch them participate in the challenges I tend to try and seek out the funny ones! There are so many moments that are completely raw. For anyone who’s even the slightest bit competitive “Paradise Run” can really test your limits, not to mention your athleticism for  anyone who doesn’t like PE, you may want to work a little harder if you’re interested in being on the show!

Sunset Scoop:What is your favorite sport and why?

Daniella Monet:I fell in love with Mixed Martial Arts at the age of 16 and was pretty much obsessed until I began working on “Victorious”and didn’t have the time to take class anymore/get all banged up from sparring. As of now, I’d say I’m most passionate about running, weight lifting, yoga and dance, but I’m almost always open to trying a new sport!

Sunset Scoop: What is the key message about the show that you’d like to share with fans?

Daniella Monet: “Paradise Run” is an adrenaline pumping game show that takes place on the grounds of a gorgeous resort on the big island in Hawaii. Three teams of two are constantly pushed to their limits as they race around from one fun challenge to the next, all for the chance to win a tropical vacation.

Sunset Scoop: Are there any special announcements that you’d like to share with fans about what they can look forward to in  the upcoming second season?

Daniella Monet: You guys are going to love some of the new obstacles! There’s a 50 foot slip and slide, a zipline the size of a football field built right over the lagoon and more. Hope you guys love it, and be sure to let me know what you think! Follow me on @daniellamonet on twitter and IG!
